Our client wanted her kitchen to have a strong sense of natural character in an otherwise contemporary, open plan home in Dublin. Alwood’s choice of a shaker style door in pippy oak with a patina finish gives a traditional feel, but the clean, linear layout works well in this contemporary settling. Detailing is understated, from the choice of concrete coloured Zodiaq worktops and discreet stainless steel handles. The generous proportions of the centre island allow for informal dining as well as food preparation. The appliance wall includes Neff fridge freezer, coffee machine and microwave, A-line wine cooler. A TV is built into one of the units and an evoline socket port with network point enables laptop usage.
